Chris Kiernan joined The Ryan Firm in July 2024. Mr. Kiernan is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience and has successfully represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters including partnership and intra-corporate disputes, fiduciary claims, contract disputes, commercial litigation and real estate. Mr. Kiernan has also represented creditors, debtors, and other parties in bankruptcy matters, including both plaintiff and defendants in adversary proceedings.

Mr. Kiernan believes in a pragmatic approach to litigation and seeks to employ a cost-effective strategy from the outset that is tailored to each client’s needs. When appropriate, Mr. Kiernan pursues aggressive litigation tactics that routinely result in favorable settlements for his clients. Mr. Kiernan takes pride in his ability to adapt throughout the course of litigation and effectively communicate complex legal issues to both the Court and clients in a clear and concise manner.

Mr. Kiernan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina before obtaining his law degree from Emory University School of Law. At Emory, Mr. Kiernan served as a Managing Editor on the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.

Outside of work, Mr. Kiernan enjoys spending time with his loved ones, playing soccer and generally being outside as much as possible.
